The fourth edition of the Festival International du Film d’Al Hoceima (FIFAH) took place from May 5 to 10, 2025, in the beautiful Mediterranean city of Al Hoceima. This edition marked a vibrant celebration of youth-driven cinema, reaffirming the festival’s mission to promote creativity, dialogue, and cultural exchange. In a world shaped by rapid change, imagination and innovation remain vital forces. The International Youth Film Festival positions itself as a key event where young filmmakers can share their unique perspectives, explore important social issues, and inspire diverse audiences. By showcasing films made by and for the youth, the festival fosters intergenerational dialogue, encourages social engagement, and highlights the power of inclusive storytelling. It is more than just a cultural gathering—it’s a platform that amplifies fresh voices, champions diversity, and redefines the role of cinema as a transformative tool for education, inspiration, and unity.

مخرج / كاتب سيناريو / منتج / موزع
سينمائي مستقل، مانويل سانشيز من غارشي، فرنسا، وعمل في مهن عديدة قبل أن يصبح مخرجًا ومنتجًا وكاتب سيناريو على مدى الثلاثين عامًا الماضية. يركز عمل مانويل دائمًا على بناء شخصيات قوية وإيجاد النور في زواياها المظلمة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، هدفه الدائم هو التقاط الجانب الشعري والغريزي والضعيف في كل إنسان. اكتشف سينما المؤلف خلال دراسته علم النفس في جامعة كليرمون-فيران. بعد عودته من رحلة طويلة في أمريكا الجنوبية، درس السينما والقانون. عمل منذ عام 1985 في العديد من الإنتاجات السينمائية الفرنسية ككاتب ومخرج ومنتج. مانويل سانشيز هو مدير Quizas، تعاونية إنتاج أوروبية مقرها في فوزييه، حيث يعيش منذ عام 1992. من محبي آرثر رامبو، أسس عام 2019 مهرجان “Les Rimbaud du Cinéma” لدعم السينما المستقلة العالمية.
Manuel Sanchez
Director / Screenwriter / Producer / Distributor
Independent filmmaker from Garchizy, transitioned to directing, producing, and screenwriting after diverse prior work. His films emphasize strong characters and finding positivity in darkness, aiming to capture human poetic, instinctive, and vulnerable sides. Discovering auteur cinema during psychology studies, he later studied film and law after a South American trip. Since 1985, he’s been active in French cinema as a writer, director, and producer. Sanchez directs Quizas, a European production cooperative in Vouziers, and founded “Les Rimbaud du Cinéma,” an international independent film festival, in 2019, inspired by Arthur Rimbaud.

تارينا باتيل ممثلة ومنتجة هندية معروفة بعملها في بوليوود وجنوب أفريقيا. بعد تخرجها في علم النفس، عادت إلى الهند وتعلمت الهندية لدخول السينما الهندية. بدأت مسيرتها عام 2006 بفيلم “ليلة واحدة مع الملك”، ثم انتقلت إلى بوليوود بأفلام مثل “Just Married” و”Bhool Bhulaiyaa”. واصلت التمثيل في أفلام أخرى وشاركت مع نجوم بوليوود. في 2015، انتقلت إلى جنوب أفريقيا وشاركت في مسلسل “Generations: The Legacy” وبرامج تلفزيونية أخرى. أسست شركة إنتاجها “Tarina P Productions” عام 2015 وأنتجت فيديوهات ومقاطع دعائية. شاركت في إنتاج فيلم “Mandela’s Gun” وكانت منتجة مشاركة في فيلم “Collision” على نتفليكس، وتعمل حاليًا على مشاريع أخرى.
TARINA PATEL
Tarina Patel is an Indian actress and producer known for her work in Bollywood and South Africa. A psychology graduate, she returned to India, learned Hindi, and debuted in film with “One Night With The King” (2006), followed by Bollywood films like “Just Married” and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa.” She continued acting in various films alongside Bollywood stars. In 2015, she moved to South Africa, joining “Generations: The Legacy” and other TV shows. Patel founded “Tarina P Productions” in 2015, producing music videos and commercials. She co-produced “Mandela’s Gun” and was an associate producer for Netflix’s “Collision” (2022), and is currently developing new projects.

He has significantly contributed to Al Jazeera’s growth and influence since its founding in 1996. Belhaj’s leadership is crucial in navigating the evolving media landscape, blending journalistic expertise with strong management skills. Under his guidance, Al Jazeera has solidified its standing as an independent news source, offering a unique global perspective. His work extends beyond Al Jazeera, encompassing the management of international media projects.

شاعر وكاتب وناقد سينمائي سعودي، يُعد من رواد صناعة السينما في المملكة العربية السعودية. ولد عام 1961، وكرس حياته لتعزيز الفنون والثقافة في المملكة. تخرج من جامعة الملك سعود عام 1982 في الدراسات الاجتماعية، وشغل مناصب ثقافية مؤثرة، منها مستشار الرئيس التنفيذي للجمعية السعودية للثقافة والفنون وعضو مجلس إدارة مؤسسة المركز الثقافي. لعب دورًا محوريًا في تأسيس وإدارة أول مهرجان للفيلم السعودي عام 2008، كما شغل منصب مدير جمعية الدمام للثقافة والفنون. يُلقب بـ “عراب السينما السعودية” وكُرّم لإسهاماته البارزة في التنمية الثقافية وتطوير صناعة السينما السعودية، خاصة في فترة الإصلاحات الاجتماعية والثقافية. بفضل التزامه ورؤيته، ساهم أحمد الملا بشكل كبير في الازدهار الثقافي للمملكة، وخاصة في مجال السينما.
AHMED AL MULA
Ahmed Al-Mulla, a Saudi cultural figure, is a pioneer in the nation’s film industry. Born in 1961, he has significantly promoted Saudi arts and culture. Holding a degree in social studies, he has occupied key cultural positions. He was instrumental in establishing the first Saudi Film Festival in 2008. He also directed the Dammam Cultural and Artistic Association. Known as the “godfather of Saudi cinema,” he’s celebrated for his contributions to film development. His vision and dedication have enriched Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape.

Saâd Chraïbi
Filmmaker born on June 27, 1952, in Fez. In 1968, he began studying medicine in Casablanca. In the same city, he founded the “AL AZAIM” film club in 1973, which he directed until 1983. He has published numerous articles and led conferences and debates on cinema, both in Morocco and abroad.

Actor, director and producer
Khalid Maadour is a versatile French-Moroccan actor, director, and producer who began his acting career after training in France. His breakthrough came with a César-nominated role in “Comme tout le monde.” He transitioned to directing for Canal+ and then Gaumont. Since 2011, Maadour has directed numerous TV projects for French and Moroccan broadcasters. In 2019, he established his own Moroccan production company, currently developing various international ventures, highlighting his multifaceted talent in the industry.

Mohamed Thabet is a Tunisian filmmaker and festival director with training in video techniques and filmmaking from France. He specialized in documentary filmmaking in Spain. Thabet has directed numerous documentaries and written successful screenplays for both fiction and documentary features. He is also an active jury member in various international film festivals across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, showcasing his expertise and contribution to the global film community.

Samer Jaber
Samer Jabr is an accomplished director and media consultant with degrees from prestigious institutions. He has an extensive, award-winning career in drama and television, having produced over 100 films across numerous countries. Notably, Jabr directed and wrote “Swords of the Arabs” and BeIN’s first drama production. His directorial work includes well-known series and he has also written and directed successful programs. Jabr’s diverse portfolio of drama and historical productions has earned him significant recognition in the media industry.
